Friends of Pinecrest
engages in the preservation and enhancement of the Pinecrest recreational basin
Your annual $20 donation goes a long way. You’ll get your voice heard by local and federal agencies. All are invited to relax or rig your sailboat on our new docks, and enjoy yourself at our annual golf and horseshoe tournaments, our annual Dancing in the Dirt event, daily sailboat races and more. Our resident hiking expert creates amazing hikes which we post online with extensive directions, maps and accompanying photos. And as a paying member of FOP, you’ll receive our newsletter six times a year.
We look forward to having you as a member.
The purpose of FOP is to inform, educate, and advocate on behalf of our members regarding the protection of the recreational uses of the Stanislaus National Forest’s Pinecrest Basin. The geographical location of interest is within the Stanislaus National Forest boundary primarily centered in the Highway 108 region around Pinecrest Lake.
A primary purpose of FOP is to interact cooperatively with the Forest Service and other interested parties in the design, utilization, and management of recreation facilities and opportunities. FOP intends to interact with the Forest Service on such matters as sanitation, fire safety, public health and safety, and general recreation and management of Pinecrest Lake in particular.
